Attractions
A few minutes walk from Neuadd, is the beautiful
sandy beach of Cemaes Bay, which has been awarded the blue flag
for cleanliness. It is , therefore, ideal for families. In summer
months, a warden is on duty.
Refreshments may be purchased from the beach side
kiosk. There are two car parks which serve the beach as well as
public toilets.
From
the harbour, fishing trips operate as well as trips to the Skerries
Lighthouse and the Isle of Man, which can be arranged with local
boat owners.
Cemaes Bay and Anglesey in general are blessed
with outstanding scenery, through which the Anglesey Coastal Walk
passes. You could walk from the headland cliffs of Cemaes Bay
along the coast to the quiet bay of Llanbadrig with its 5th Century
church (dedicated to St. Patrick, who was shipwrecked off the
coast) perched on the cliffs above. On a clear day, the Isle of
Man and the mountains of Cumbria can be clearly seen.
